IntroductionThe University of North Carolina and Duke University are organizing a Corporate Finance Conference designed to bring together leading scholars in the field. The symposium will be held in Chapel Hill on Friday afternoon, September 15 and Saturday, September 16, 2006. The conference is jointly
sponsored by Duke University's Fuqua Business School and Global Capital Markets Center and the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School and Wachovia Center for Corporate Finance. Papers in all areas of
corporate finance are invited.


PAPER SELECTION PROCESS:

Papers should be well developed, but at a stage where they can still benefit from the group's discussion. Preference will be given to recent papers that have not previously been presented at major conferences. Lodging expenses will be paid for presenters and their travel expenses will be reimbursed up to $400.

Papers will be selected by the UNC and Duke finance faculty and an external program advisory committee consisting of:

Luigi Zingales, University of Chicago


PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:

Please submit an electronic version of the paper (MS Word or PDF format) no later than June 1, 2006 through the conference web page:
