Biography: Tony completed a BSc in Pure Mathematics in 1982 at Ningxia University in China, a MSc in Applied Mathematics in 1987 at Hebei Normal University in China, a PhD in Applied Mathematics at Flinders University in 1995, and a PhD in Finance at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2001.
Tony worked as an Associated Lecturer from 1982 to 1984 and a Lecturer from 1987 to 1991 with the Department of Mathematics at Ningxia University, China. Between 1989 and 1990, he worked at Flinders University as a Visiting Scholar. Between 1995 and 1997 he was employed as an Associate Lecturer with School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sydney.
Tony joined the School of Finance and Economics at University of Technology, Sydney in 2001 as a Lecturer. He was appointed Senior Lecturer in 2002 and promoted as an Associate Professor in 2007.
He is the author of over 60 research articles in mathematics, economics, and finance

Teaching Areas: Derivatives, Financial Economics, Nonlinear Economics, and Investment.
Research Areas: Financial market modelling, heterogeneous expectations and learning, nonlinear economic dynamics and bounded rationality, behavior finance and asset pricing.
